Welcome to “The Gap” page of St James Church Website
“The Gap” is the 18 to 30s group at St James Church, Carlisle. Its primary role is a social group designed to be open to everyone aged 18 to 30s whether you are single, married, or part of our student population (mature and international included). It is intended to be a great way to meet other people, who are at a similar stage in life and a fantastic way to make new friends.
The events are suitable for Christians and non-Christians alike and we will try to organise a diverse programme of socials that suits the interests and needs of everyone. All new ideas are very welcome.
The group meets regularly at 8.30 pm following the evening services every first and third Sunday of the month either at someone’s home or at a local pub. We also organise a variety of social events throughout the year including, Sunday lunches, trips to the beach, walks, pub quizzes, camping, city visits, theatre, curry night, cinema and much more. So look out for information on the church notice sheet, or by e-mail or Facebook updates.
