Firstly, you can expect a warm welcome. You will also receive a copy of the service sheet; these are produced each week and contain all the information you will need for the service - so no fiddling about looking for the right page: you can even take your sheet home with you!
Most mornings, the service begins with all ages together. The band plays for about 15 minutes before the service begins; the music is excellent with a mixture of old and new songs. We sing a few songs together and there’s always a part for the children to play before they go over to the Parish Centre for their own fun and activities as part of Creche, Sunday Club or Chill-out Zone. Then there is a reading and some prayers and notices and, of course, the sermon. At the end of the service there’s tea and coffee in the Parish centre, where we can all meet up again to find out what the younger ones have been up to. You will notice that we do not pass round any offering plates/bags; our regular members help to support church financially (either by bank order or in the offering plates a the rear of church), but we do not expect visitors to contribute.
Any restless youngsters can take their parents into the welcome area at the back of the church, where they can get a drink, play with toys and, of course, use the loo. And, it has speakers to relay the service, so mum and dad won’t miss anything.
