This is our main service of family worhip and is a lively time of praise for all the family.
The music is made up of worship songs, children's songs and some traditional hymns, and is led by our superb Music Group.
On many mornings there is a baptism (or baptisms) as part of the service.
Children's activities take place in the Parish Centre, where we all meet up afterwards for a drink and a biscuit.
The sermon is given by John, Ian or Julia, or by one of our lay-readers or by a visiting speaker.
On special occasions such a Christmas, Easter and Harvest, we have an all-age service.
Recent themes for our morning services have included 'When Jesus is present' - a look at Mark's Gospel, and 'The Road to Freedom' - following the Exodus.
Sunday Services
10.30 am
6.30 pm
Evening worship is a less formal service. There is plenty of lively and reflective music (led by our Music Group), a time of intercession - often with time for open prayer. Teaching follows various themes each term (details should be available on the website shortly), recent themes have included 'Knowing and sharing the Gospel' - preparing for mission and ministry, and '(Y)our Questions matter' - a look at some basic questions people often ask.
Monthly, Midweek Service. 11.30 am
On the last Thursday of each month we meet for a traditional worship service.
We sing mainly traditional hymns on these occasions, but sometimes include a slightly newer song for variation, and all the music is played on the organ. These services precede our monthly 'Leisurely Lunch' for the retired.
