In September 2010 Tim Cottingham went to Sheffield to join the Church Army tim.jpgyoung peoples’ Xplore programme. He  spent the first four months in Sheffield with a team focusing on developing genuine compassion for the ‘least, last and lost.’  This  included time to bless the local communities including the youth, elderly, students, homeless, street workers, addicts, gangs, rural congregations to mention a few!

In early 2011 Tim went to Romania to work with a charity called Networks which works with former street children and the poorest of the poor. He soon settled into a busy routine showing Jesus in practical ways to the local community. He also had some fun and celebrated his twenty first birthday by canoeing 21 miles down river with a gaggle of Swedish girls!

Tim came back to the UK in June, via Germany where he spent time with his Aunty who lives in an Evangelical Sisterhood. He then returned to Sheffield for his Church Army debrief before heading off to Northern Ireland to help with a camp.

Tim has been back in Cumbria for a few weeks, and it has been good to catch up with him and hear what God has been doing  in and through him.

For some time now Tim has felt called back to Romania to work with Networks (for more information check out their website www.networks.org.ro).

Please pray for Tim as he flies back to Romania this week. He will be living with two fellow musicians – pray for accomodation to be provided for them.

Praise God that a farm restoration has nearly been completed. This project will be used for men teaching life skills, character development and vocational training.

Pray for Dece, a micro enterprise, teaching and employing mothers to crochet hats. The hats are sold, and provide employment and a feeling of self worth for the women. Pray that this project will develop.

Pray for Tim’s family as they say goodbye for another year.
