The Fletcher Family in Bangkok

The FletchersJon and Elise Fletcher and their two young sons Elliot and Samuel are our newest mission partners. Since 2014 they have been working with Urban Neighbours of Hope in Klong Toey slum in Bangkok. With over 100,000 people crammed into less than 2km squared life is a challenging “adventure”.  As a doctor, Jon is passionate about improving the health of the whole person and sees that those in most need of healthcare are often the least able to access it. He has built up relationships with local youth through woodwork projects and continues to explore ways that his medical skills can help the marginalised patients there. Elise helps manage the Fair-trade jewellery project that provides work for some of their neighbours.

In July 2016 they visited us and told us about their work and aims as they live alongside their neighbours, sharing the good news of Jesus and seeking by this to see lives transformed.

You can read more about them on www.unoh.org and www.jonandelisefletcher.com.

Jon & Elise and family will be visiting St James on Sunday 12 August 2018 to speak at our 10.30am service in the Parish Church.
