All 150th Anniversary events are FREE to attend, with refreshments provided.  Further details will appear in our parish magazine nearer to the event.

QUIZ NIGHT – Saturday 28 January, 7.30pm, St James Parish Centre.

FILM NIGHT – Friday 10 February, 7.30pm, Cornerstone.

LOCAL HISTORY EVENING - Saturday 18 March, 7.30pm, St James Parish Centre. Join us as we welcome local historian John Huggon who will give an illustrated talk on the history and development of Denton Holme.

PASSOVER SUPPER – Thursday 13 April, 7.00pm St James Parish Centre. (£5 charge for this event and places must be booked in advance)

EASTER EGG HUNT & TEA – Saturday 15 April, 2.00-4.00pm.  A great event for the children but all are welcome to come along for tea and cake.

MUSIC & CONVERSATION -  Friday 19 May, 7.30 – 9.00pm,  St James’ Church. The evening will feature members of our music group performing a variety of classical and light music items (organ, piano, woodwind, singing etc) as well as leading one or two familiar hymns and songs. In addition we will have a guest speaker, Peter McCall. Peter is the elected Police & Crime Commissioner for Cumbria and is also actively involved in leading music and preaching in several local churches.

COMMUNITY FUN DAY – Saturday 15 July – St James’ Parish Centre and grounds, 1.00-5.00pm.  Join us for kids crafts, entertainment, music, Perpetual Puppets, fairtrade gifts and Afternoon Tea.

150th ANNIVERSARY SERVICE – Sunday 16 July, 10.30am St James Church. Special guest speaker Bishop James. This service will be followed by a Bring & Share Lunch in the Parish Centre.

PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION – Thursday 20 July, Friday 21, Monday 24 & Tuesday 25, 10-00-4.00 at St James Parish Centre.  Display of photographs and archives relating to the life of our church.

OSILIGI MAASAI WARRIORS – Wednesday 20 September, 7.00pm, St James Church, Denton Holme. The Osiligi Maasai Warriors are a seven-piece performing tribal group from southern Kenya.

CEILIDH – Saturday 18 November, St James Parish Centre.  The Woodside Warblers will be leading us in a merry dance so come along in comfy shoes and be prepared for a good whirl around the dancefloor.  Suitable for all ages.
